At dinner you could see M and S glowing on the stage between the candles and red flowers. It was 31 October 2026, and Manpreet and Simran had brought family and friends to The Londoner for their wedding reception, with Kudos Music’s Jas Johal as their DJ.

Tall glasses of candlelight ran down the tables, with deep red flowers above the place settings. Between them you could see the dancefloor and the initials on stage. The curved dining tables followed the sides of the floor, bringing dinner right up to the edge of the party.

The gold M and S monogram sits within a geometric border on the black DJ booth, beneath the matching screen.

The wedding DJ

Manpreet owns Imperial Drummers. For his and Simran’s own reception, Jas Johal was their wedding DJ. His place in the room carried their initials: a gold M and S on the face of the booth, with the same monogram on the screen behind it.

Made for the couple

The pattern carried from the dancefloor to the bar.

Gold lines cut across the glossy black floor, with pink marble veining running between them. At the bar the same artwork wrapped around the end, so a photograph taken looking away from the stage still felt like part of the same wedding.

For the cake photograph the room reads quite differently. The tiered white cake stands above a ring of red flowers, with the stage in deep blue behind it. Underneath, you can still pick out the same geometric floor that greeted guests for dinner.
