Three celebrations in Italy so far, and no two of them ran the same way. Amber and Kumail's started on the coast in California and finished on Lake Como. Italy's problem is always the same one, and it is never the music. The rooms you want are outdoors, the villas sit in residential stretches, and the curfew is set by the comune rather than by the venue, which means nobody on site can move it. We plan the loud part of the night for somewhere with walls and leave the terrace for golden hour. Ask what the curfew is before you fall in love with the lawn.
