A Sikh wedding in Nairobi

Gavneet and Rajbir locked eyes at a mutual friend's wedding in 2007, and almost ten years later, on the 24th of December, the pair tied the knot in Nairobi. It was a celebration on a royal scale, set in Kenya's Karura Forest with the Anand Karaj at the Baba Ishwar Singh Gurudwara. The peacock-themed staging Kudos designed lit up a mirrored marquee, and a two-and-a-half-hour live set from the legendary Rahat Fateh Ali Khan turned the reception into a moment no guest would forget, his unplugged 'O Re Piya' echoing across the night. Kudos delivered the production, with DJ H and Jas Johal carrying the floor between the live sets, the bride in Tarun Tahiliani, and the day filmed by Salshan Photo Cinema. We would rather over-spec the PA for a night like this than discover its limits during a legend's unplugged set.
