Seaside elegance in Rhodes

Over six hundred guests flew from London to Rhodes for this one. Six hundred is a different job from two hundred, and it changes the rig before it changes anything else. Alexia, Cyprus-born and raised in England, shaped a vision that blended modern elegance with Mediterranean tradition down to the finest detail. Their Orthodox ceremony took place at Agia Sofia, set against the endless blue of the Aegean, before the party moved to the iconic Kallithea Springs. The styling married modern and traditional notes throughout: olive branches, orchids, amaranthus and fresh lime tones, mirror details, lemons and Mediterranean pots, with bridesmaids in lime shades and a wedding cake given a baklava-inspired twist. The bride's preparation overflowed with authentic Cypriot traditions, live music and dancing. Then night fell. The dinner area turned over to fairy lights and a vast dancefloor. Live saxophone, bouzouki and bongos played over the decks, which is harder than it looks: the players need to hear themselves without the DJ losing the low end. We would rather give live musicians their own monitoring than let them fight the PA, and on a floor this size that is not optional. DJ Itch and DJ Chonkx held it together until morning.
