This past weekend, Kudos AV proudly designed and managed production for the 7th annual Sikh Awards 2016, at the Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster Bridge. To honour an array of deserving winners from the international Sikh community.
Hosted by Ranvir Singh, a journalist and broadcaster; the prestigious event saw 750 guests in attendance from elite international dignitaries to public figures, community heroes, sports stars and celebrities such as the iconic music group Sister Sledge. The Sikh Awards recognizes the pivotal contributions made by the Sikh community across a variety of fields, from business, charity, education, entertainment, professional services, seva (selfless service), and sport, with winners selected across the globe from Asia, America, Canada, Australia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Each year, The Sikh Awards takes a theme as the central focus for the evening's celebrations. The seventh annual event recognized and honoured two major events: the 547th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji which takes place on 5th January 2017. Kudos AV engaged the audience with a stunning set based around a backdrop of a mammoth 120 panel Absen A3 PRO LED video wall, which sat on a bespoke 40ft stage, built in-house by the Kudos workshop. A live camera feed was displayed on two pips either side of the LED screen, displaying sponsor logos and showing award nominees and acceptance speeches, ensuring not a single guest missed a moment.
With Robe and uplighting illuminating the venue and enhancing the setup, an elegant look was achieved. The uplighting used created ambience in the venue and the robe lighting ensured that the focus was centre stage, highlighting the deserving winners, who stood at a modern custom branded lectern, designed by the Kudos AV team. Sound used for the event was the D&B Y8 Series, which has impeccable clarity, a wide range and minimal feedback, which was perfect for this event.
