THE MEANING OF KUDOS

Kudos Indian and Asian Wedding DJ's

Ask any company owner and they’ll tell you that naming a business is no easy feat. Coming up with a phrase or name which accurately reflects the company’s services and aspirations of the future, while at the same time attracts attention from pote tial customers is a tricky combination, and one that is hard to get spot on.

We played with a number of different ideas while trying to name our roadshow, however we all felt we’d hit the nail on the head when we came up with Kudos Music.

As a DJ collective specialising in the provision of musical entertainment for Asian weddings and celebrations as well as corporate events and club nights, we needed our name to speak to a wide range of clientele.

The word Kudos comes from the Greek word, Kydos, which literally translated means “that which is heard of”. In the English language Kudos has become a byword for fame, honour and glory, a reputation of success for an individual or group which stems from an act or achievement. With this in mind, Kudos concisely captures everything we strive to achieve with our music roadshow: recognition for providing a service which is based on merit.

As we continue to grow and develop as a company, we hope our choice of name will prove prophetic and any association with our company will bring with it a certain amount of Kudos.
